Dr. Murdoch grew up in Prince George with the dreams and aspirations of becoming a veterinarian. In 1988, the dreams became reality when she graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in her hands. Dr. Murdoch began her career in Fort St John and then moved back to Prince George where she started her own practice working out of the back of her truck. This practice grew into a physical clinic facility which now employs 4 veterinarians including herself and the requisite and very important support staff. Dr. Murdoch is proud and honoured to provide veterinary care for the community in which she grew up and which has supported her for so many years.
In her leisure time, Dr. Murdoch supports her daughter’s equestrian pursuits which fortunately mirror her own interests in the hunter/jumper arena. She is also “taxi driver” and spectator for her daughter’s other activities. She enjoys being outdoors – skiing in the winter, riding and being on the lake in the summer. She considers time with family, her husband and daughter, as time well spent.
Grew up on a beef farm in Ontario and graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2005. She practiced mixed animal medicine in Northern Ontario before relocating to PG and joining our team in May of 2011. Dr. McConnell is passionate about soft tissue surgery. She is also keen to develop her orthopaedic surgery and ultrasound skills.
She loves all animals... except spiders! Dr. McConnell really enjoys working with horses and cats.
In the warmer months she enjoys hiking, hunting, fishing and riding horses. During the winter she enjoys skiing and painting. Dr. Jenn has two cats, a quarter horse named Rush and a miniature horse named Bones.
Was born in Kitimat, BC and raised in the Okanagan. She took sciences with a specialization in Ecology at the UBCO and the U of A before attending the WCVM in Saskatoon. Maddy joined the “M” team in June 2016. She loves the huge variety of outdoor activities that Prince George has to offer, and regularly goes hiking, running and biking with her dog Kate. She also enjoys yoga, reading, and antique hunting.
Maddy has a special interest in providing care for animals in underprivileged communities, and recently travelled to Guatemala to help the working horses there.

Christine was very calm, and talked me down from a very excitable situation. We came home with Milo and a treatment for his illness instead of coming home with an empty cat crate and a face covered in tears. I am pleased to say that since we have started the antibiotics Milo has improved dramatically and is once again a happy cat that is a part of our family. He actually wants to hug us (he doesn't really like anyone but me ) The change in his diet as well as the antibiotics have shown in his litter box too, he seems to be urinating more than before, so this shows me that they are working !! YAY !!! This is the reason why we love and trust the team at Murdoch Vet and will always bring our fur kids there for treatment. Thank you again for making what could have been a horrible afternoon a wonderful afternoon.
